Adele To Headline 2016 Glastonbury Music Festival

adele

Festival season is fast approaching, and before you know it, you’ll have several events to attend.

Well, if you’re in England this summer, then you might was to check out Adele at this year’s Glastonbury Music Festival because the British singer has been confirmed as the final headliner for the event.

Taking place on Saturday, June 25 on the Pyramid Stage in England, the 27-year-old singer made the announcement during her sold-out show at London, as she told the crowd:

Who’s going to Glastonbury this year? See you there. I’ll be there. I’ll be headlining on the Saturday night this year.”

During her announcement, the “When We We’re Young” singer also mentioned that she almost played the festival last year, but had to back out because her album wasn’t going to be out on time.

I wanted to do it last year but my record wasn’t ready. And to the people who say I am too boring to headline, you’re more boring for moaning about me headlining.”

In addition to Adele, Coldplay and Muse will also take the stage at Glastonbury.

Congrats, we can’t wait!

Adele Breaks New Record For Fastest YouTube Video To Reach 1 Billion Views

adele

It looks like Adele has reached a new milestone.

The British singer’s “Hello” video has reached a brand new record by scoring 1 billion views on YouTube in less days than anyone else.

According to CBS, korean-pop sensation, Psy, shared the same success with “Gangnam Style,” which took him 158 days to hit. But for Adele, it seemed like it was a piece of cake with it only taking 87 days.

The news outlet also adds that only 17 videos have made the billion mark and those include LMFAO’s “Party Rock” and Sia’s “Chandelier.”

There’s no doubting that Adele season is in full effect, and there’s no stopping the movement.

Congrats Adele!

Music streaming is taking over the game

There was once a time when all we had was our little ol’ CD binder we flipped through and popped in a disc before riding out in our cars. Yeah, we miss those.  419qEF+0FvL._SY300_

In today’s growing world of technology, music lovers have many options when it comes to staying up-to-date with their favorite artists.

How are you listening to your music? According to Entertainment Weekly, music streaming companies like Spotify and Apple Music are now wiping out digital sales. This means more people rather pay a service fee to stream music than to buy a song or album. They reported a 92.3% increase in online music streaming from 2014.

The interesting thing is while digital sales continue to go down, albums and even vinyl records are still doing well in the market.

I mean, can we ever really say goodbye to our hardcopy albums?

Talking about albums, check out Billboard’s top 10 album sales of 2015:
1. Adele, 25
2. Taylor Swift, 1989
3. Justin Bieber, Purpose
4. Ed Sheeran, X
5. The Weeknd, Beauty Behind The Madness
6. Drake, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late
7. Megan Trainor, Title
8. Sam Smith, In The Lonely Hour
9. Sam Hunt, Montevallo
10. Fetty Wap, Fetty Wap

Shoutout to our girl Adele, for taking the #1 spot.
