While many are wondering where Frank Ocean has been at, a snippet of what sounds like a new song from the artist surfaced online last night (February 28).
According to Complex, a three-minute leak was uploaded to a random SoundCloud page from what could be a “secret listening session.” Since then, the track has been deleted, but there’s been a few more clips roaming around.
No word yet if any of these snippets will appear on Frank Ocean’s highly-awaited album. However, take a listen to the snippet below, and let us know what you think.

A breakdown of standout samples from Tiller’s TrapSoul
Bryson Tiller aka “Pen Griffey” has undeniable set the music world on fire with his debut album “Trap Soul”. This project holds sounds that all came from sessions with Legendary Producer Timbaland and his many protégés in Miami. We’ve heard the sounds and tracks that are the baselines of tracks such as “Exchange”,” Sorry Not Sorry” and vocal samples that appear on “Don’t“. We break down for you some of the standout samples from the projects right here.
1.Don’t– Interpolation (Replayed Sample) of vocals/lyrics that came from Mariah Carey’s chart topping hit from 2005, “Shake it off”. The lyric used by Young Tiller is, “He keeps on playing games and his loving ain’t the same,” which Mariah used as a bridge to the hook.
2.Exchange– In this song, multiple elements were used from K.P and Envyi 90’s hit “Swing My Way. Starting with the beat itself and the vocals from K.P and Envyi opening harmonies that are filtered out and chopped with a little delay. Also more, hi-hats were added along with a melodic baseline.
3. Sorry Not Sorry– Any OG 90’s baby hears this track and thinks back to playing Street Fighter 2 on SEGA all night, Timbaland and Millibeat were spot on with giving this track a nostalgic feel. As both Guile’s Theme and Street Fighter 2 sound effects were incorporated through out the track. Last but not least, Vine star “Brian Blacka$$” Vine quote from 2013 was inserted in the song at end, “Boy, you don’t get tha f**k.”
4. 502 Come up– In an ode to his hometown Louisville, he used direct vocal samples from the infamous Reverend W.A. Donaldson 1952 song, “Baptizing Sounds.” It’s a great mix with the modern beats of today. All Kanye fans should remember this sound from the opening of the track of “N*ggas in Paris,” as well as numerous tracks off the new Ghetto Gospel, “Life of Pablo.”
5. For However Long– A sample of multiple elements of one of the best R&B groups of all time, Jodeci’s “Alone.” If you go back to Jodeci’s track, at around 1:27 is where Bryson’s producers sampled the elements for the whole track.

Ciara fans, you won’t be too happy to hear this news.
The “1, 2, Step” singer has announced that she is postponing her spring North American tour to work on new music and upcoming album.
She shared a Facebook post where she wrote:
“Unfortunately, my upcoming tour is moving again.. Why?…I’m currently in the process of making the best album of my career! I want to give all of you an incredible show… A show that you deserve! Therefore, I gotta stay focused in the studio and commit myself to this new music. I love you all, and I’m thankful for your unwavering support. I am excited for this journey to continue and look forward to seeing you soon!”
Ticketmaster has also pulled down all the events on their site and has promised to provide refunds for fans who bought tickets to the shows.

Roc Nation’s newest artist, Mayaeni, gives basement kids a new look (Stream)
There’s a new artist on the radar signed to Roc Nation and she goes by Mayaeni. The songstress, who was born and raised in Detroit, released a mixtape on Soundcloud entitled “BASEMENT KID MIXTAPE”. Mayaeni uses her sultry vocals and over-hard-hitting hip-hop beats to give any listener pure old-school yet new-school vibes.
When asked, “What is a basement kid?,” Mayaeni says, “I’ve spent most of my life in a basement or room alone learning and creating music. Countless hours playing guitar along to Hendrix records, listening to hip hop on headphones with my eyes closed, writing songs about heartbreak, singing like nobody could hear me, because nobody could…This led me to a life recording in professional studios with amazing producers around the world, yet I’m still a basement kid at heart.”

Kanye West goes off about Amber Rose and Taylor Swift line in LA show (VIDEO)
Kanye West took advantage of the stage last night at 1 OAK Los Angeles, letting it be known that Amber Rose is a liar and “that b*tch ain’t neva stuck no fingers in my ass.”
He went on to add that Taylor Swift was okay with his line, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that b*tch famous.” According to West, she liked it.
He also touched on the hype about his debt asking if that made him un-cool now. Not really.
According to reports, the rant lasted 20 minutes. Check out the compiled footage from fans in the crowd. What a show.

The “Don’t” vocalist mentions how he worked several jobs before starting his music career. He adds that he worked a part-time, full-time, and a side job to keep up with life.
Bryson also says how producer Timbaland changed his life because he was the first one to ever reach out to him.

Beyonce to release TWO ALBUMS in 2016?
Rumors are circulating that Beyonce may be releasing two albums this year. Beyonce’s new hit single “Formation” which included the release of a WORLD TOUR may be the build up to an album release in April.
According to the Fader, her final album with Sony Records is set to drop very soon as is her collaborative album with hubby Jay-Z. Billboard even suggested that Mike Will Made-it would be a producer featured on the album, who was the producer of her first single “Formation“. Other possible collaborators include Future and Bone-Thugs N-harmony. Could this be true? We are so ready for the new music!

How today’s accessibility has still allowed undiscovered artists to thrive
“Back in my day…” How many times have we heard an old-school hip-hop/R&B lover say this when talking about today’s artists? Truth is, just a few decades ago the music game had a complete different blueprint than it does today. The road to fame and success was a distinct route.
In the 90’s we had artists such as LL Cool J, Ice-T, Missy Elliott, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Wu-Tang Clan just to name a few. Pretty big names, right? This was a time where an inspiring artist would make a demo, get signed, release music and get paid. Good music came from labels that put in money and time to produce quality product to release to the public.
So what has changed? Accessibility.
The underground scene, for one, has built it’s very own massive fanbase. This means that there are hundreds of producers and artists now working from home or a small studio that have taught themselves the art and are able to release good quality music without the support of a label. The downside? No money comes from doing this.
Today, literally anyone can put out a song through platforms such as Soundcloud and YouTube that reach millions of people around the world and can blow up within a matter of days, even hours. That type of accessibility wasn’t available “back in the day” making it difficult for an artist to gain recognition on a national level without the support of a cash-dropping label. Just look at the numbers, Soundcloud currently has over 150 million registered users hungry for music everyday. It’s likely that most these users aren’t coming to this platforms for Top 40 music from mainstream artists.
This technology has allowed music consumers to be exposed to a whole new vast chain of undiscovered people who may be working odd jobs through the day and dropping hot music through the night from their home studio. Music fans today simply demand good music, not considering who it’s from or what basement it was released out of.
Independent artists now have the opportunity to not only practice their passion, but be self-dependent with it. Self-promotion and social media has allowed rookie artists to develop a brand and fanbase for free and if successful, be booked for shows and paid for sponsorships all on their own.

Jane Handcock – Truth Be Told
Oakland, California R&Bass songwriter Jane Handcock steps out from behind the scenes to releases her Raphael Saadiq presented debut project Truth Be Told.
Handcock has worked behind the scenes with many big names in the music business, including Kelly Rowland , Big Krit, KeKe Palmer, Tank , Tyrese, Kehlani, and Producers Teddy Riley, The Social Experiment, Justice League, Vinylz, Harmony Samuels, James Fauntleroy, 1500 or Nothin and Polow tha Don, as well as with close friend and writing partner Adrian Marcel. It was at OSA – (Oakland School for the Arts) where she met fellow classmate Marcel as well as Kehlani.
While working on Adrian Marcel’s debut project 7 Days of Weak, Handcock had the opportunity to collaborate with Grammy Award Winning Singer Songwriter Producer Raphael Saadiq. It was then that things began to take off for her. Saadiq was impressed with her vivid confessional lyricism. He was intrigued by her ability to not only write honest music that touched people but a the very special ability to Empathize. He said her level of Empathy made the songs she writes for others even that much more doper “she’s like a musical medium”.
Her collaborations with Saadiq and Marcel led Handcock to vocal produce Marcel’s breakout hit “2 AM”. Now Handcock begins to emerge as an artist herself, and Truth Be Told immediately shows why some of the all time greats are so eager to work with this rising star.
