We shine the light on 24-year-old SPZRKT (pronounced Spazzy Rocket) from Warner Robins, GA. Heavily influenced by John Legend, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and Frank Ocean just to name a few, SPZ has collected over 47k followers on Soundcloud.
SPZ was known as a Christian Hip Hop artist up until last year. In a open-letter to the CHH community, he shared, “I share your heart for Jesus, but I am not YOUR artist, I am AN artist. My goal is not to build a genre, my goal is to build the people. No one genre and no one community owns me as an artist, because I am for everyone.”
Today, he is signed to STRT TRBL and as his website claims, he is here “to challenge how one artist should make music.”
