Demi Lovato & Zendaya Speak Out On Women Empowerment

Zendaya-Demi

The effect that our society has among young adults these days is profound, but quite dangerous at times. Our culture is filled with endless outlets of advertising, such as magazines, television shows, and social media sites that have a daily influence on their lives.

Most young teens are in stages of trying to identify themselves with who they are and who they want to become, and with the world evolving everyday it’s quite tough.

Despite being surrounded 24/7 by the media, there are several young adults that are inspiring the younger generation. I’m talking about Demi Lovato and Zendaya Coleman.

After paying their dues on Disney Channel, both have become some of the most respected young ladies in Hollywood. The actresses have a deep understanding of being a positive role model, and women empowerment.

Over the weekend, Demi Lovato took a stand on social media to share her thoughts on the powerful movement.

The 23-year-old detailed, “Frustrating to see women come forward with their past only to be shot down, not believed & disrespected for their bravery in taking action” as she referred to Kesha, who has been fighting to part ways from record label and producer Dr. Luke.

Demi continued to elaborate on her definition of women empowerment by saying:

However, Zendaya also stands right beside her, as she’s been very public about her state of mind.

Do you remember when she became the most outspoken celebrities last year, when she schooled E! News, Giuliana Rancic on natural hair or when she shut down a bully via Twitter for making fun of her parents?

The recent high school graduate has been coming a long way, making statements on her platforms, and standing up for what she believes in.

So while half the world is worrying about Kylie Jenner, Blac Chyna, or Kanye West, we’re are glad to have Zendaya and Demi Lovoto as a true voice for this new up and coming generation.

Thank you ladies!
