OVO’s very own Majid Jordan got their start when they helped write and produce Drizzy Drake’s 2013 hit “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” since then, the Toronto sensation has grown before our eyes.
Following their success of their EP, A Place Like This, Majid Jordan have finally unleashed their highly awaited self-titled album, which sits on 12-solid tracks, and sees production from the likes of Noah “40” Shebib, Jamie xx, and Illangelo.

This record is the musical punch needed to wake up those that thought they would be sleeping through this project. Majid Jordan’s voice blends so well with the instrumental, it’s safe to say that they have a stand out sound all their own.
“Love Is Always Here”
It’s not often we hear male singers craft songs about showing women what love is all about. Majid Jordan serves us a refreshing tune with “Love Is Always There,” they paint an image for both men and women.
“Shake Shake Shake”
Majid Jordan’s vocals come alive on this mood-boosting opener, as “Shake Shake Shake” has a chanted hook with lyrics like “Diamonds ’round her neck and she’s here at last/I need to make a move, I’m taking my chance/All night long, I thought of what to say/I really think she’s need someone like me.”
“King City”
After releasing the official music video to the track, this is definitely an anthem for all fellas out there. “King City” shows a different reflection of a male’s late night mood, as Jordan’s smooth vocals create a vibrant sound, and gives us a taste of how he can mix up their melody.
“Day & Night”
Day & Night” starts with a minimal down-tempo groove, as it progresses to Maskati’s soft vocals, as it gives us that 90s EDM feel. It’s quiet catchy.
