Kanye West changes album name again. Fourth time’s a charm?

From “So Help Me God” to Swish” to “Waves,” Kanye’s much anticipated album is scheduled to drop this Thursday and we still don’t know the official album name.  The project will release during his Yeezy Season 3 debut taking place in Madison Square Garden.

As to why Kanye is so indecisive with a name is known but with this album’s inconsistency, it’s no surprise. The album has been pushed back numerous times not to mention the edits made on his hand-written track list.

Kanye reported that this album would be the “best album of all time,” but a few weeks later he clarified that statement by tweeting, “This new album is ONE of the greatest albums, not the greatest, just one of,”

5 Things We’d Like To See On Kanye West’s “WAVES”

Lets face it, we’ve all been waiting for Kanye West to drop SWISH, WAVES, or whatever the name of his upcoming studio album may be.

From receiving numerous teasers to bringing back “GOOD Friday” music (well sorta), and his great publicity stunt with Wiz Khalifa, we really hope Kanye’s next project is as good as he makes it seem.

So as we count down the days for Friday, February 12, we’ve gathered a few things we’d like to see on his WAVES album coming up. Take a look. – Lupe Looove

Collaborations With Rising Artists

While we’ve gotten our hands on the album’s track list, we’re still not sure who’s exactly featured on the project, other than Ty Dolla $ign and Kendrick Lamar. However, there’s no doubting that the Chi-Town rapper is no stranger to jaw-dropping collabs, so maybe a few new risings stars on Ye’s project would be dope to see.

More Songs About North West and now, Baby Saint

The life of Kanye West has gone over a massive transformation since he hit fatherhood and married Mrs. Kim K-West. The changes have inspired several of his previous songs, and they’re very close to the polar opposite of the Yeezus buzzsaw cuts. Tracks like “Only One” represent his new stage of life, and we would love to see more of that.

More Soul Samples

We’re fully aware that Ye’s College Dropout days are far behind him, but we think it was his early albums that contained some of the truly great soulful samples of his. Don’t you?

More Yeezus Production

Lets take you back to Kanye’s album Yeezus the production of that project was undeniable! Each beat felt sprawling and cinematic, and that’s exactly what we hope to have back again soon.

Show Us Why He’s Still The King of Chicago

Plain and simple, we need Mr. West to show us here, again, why he’s the best at what he does. Yes, he might do some buzzard things but, he’s a living bridge between the late 90s movement and the top of 2000s.

kanye-west

It looks like Kanye West’s highly anticipate album SWISH will be coming to us on February 12.

After announcing the release date a few weeks back, Mr. West took to Twitter on Sunday (January 24) to share the news that his project is officially finished, and even gave us a preview of  a handwritten track list.

There’s not doubting that “No Parties In L.A.” and “Real Friends” definitely made the cut.

Check out Kanye West’s SWISH track list, and let us know if you’re excited to hear the full project in the comments below.
