Sean Diddy Combs has been behind the success of several musicians, and now he is taking on the role of building successful students.
The hip-hop mogul is set to open up a brand new Charter School in the city of Harlem, NY.
In the press release, Diddy spoke on the importance of education at a young age.
“Creating this school is a dream come true for me. I want to impact the lives of young people in my community, and build future leaders. The first step is offering access to a quality education, he said. Every young person should have the tools they need to succeed. All our children should be able to pursue their dreams. That is something I can impact with this school.”
The school is already accepting applications, and will begin with enrolling students from grades 6-7, before expanding to grades 6th through 12th.
Diddy has already established an impressive roster of board members for the school, including Oprah’s go-to spirit guide, Dr. Iyanla Vanzant, and Reverend Georgiette-Morgan Thomas.
