Taraji P. Henson Becomes The 3rd African-American Woman To Win A Golden Globe For “Best Actress In TV Drama”

Taraji P. Henson

Congratulations to our favorite Empire cast member, Taraji P. Henson.

The actress won the Golden Globe Award for “Best Actress in a TV Drama” for her role as Cookie, on Sunday night (January 10).

According to sources, Henson has become the third African American to win this same exact award.

Of course, in a very Cookie fashion way, the actress handed out cookies to everyone in the audience as she proceed to the stage to accept her Golden Globe.

Once on stage, Henson yelled out, “Cookies for everyone tonight. My treat!” She then continued to thank those around her, and made sure to finalized with “I’m taking this one for the entire Empire.”

Once again, congratulations to Taraji P. Henson for such prestigious award!
