Music streaming is taking over the game

There was once a time when all we had was our little ol’ CD binder we flipped through and popped in a disc before riding out in our cars. Yeah, we miss those.  419qEF+0FvL._SY300_

In today’s growing world of technology, music lovers have many options when it comes to staying up-to-date with their favorite artists.

How are you listening to your music? According to Entertainment Weekly, music streaming companies like Spotify and Apple Music are now wiping out digital sales. This means more people rather pay a service fee to stream music than to buy a song or album. They reported a 92.3% increase in online music streaming from 2014.

The interesting thing is while digital sales continue to go down, albums and even vinyl records are still doing well in the market.

I mean, can we ever really say goodbye to our hardcopy albums?

Talking about albums, check out Billboard’s top 10 album sales of 2015:
1. Adele, 25
2. Taylor Swift, 1989
3. Justin Bieber, Purpose
4. Ed Sheeran, X
5. The Weeknd, Beauty Behind The Madness
6. Drake, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late
7. Megan Trainor, Title
8. Sam Smith, In The Lonely Hour
9. Sam Hunt, Montevallo
10. Fetty Wap, Fetty Wap

Shoutout to our girl Adele, for taking the #1 spot.
