Kendrick Lamar has never been shy about representing his hometown, and now, things are about to get more hyped for the Compton native.
The Mayor of Compton, California, Aja Brown took to Twitter today (January 14) to announce that K. Dot would be receiving a key to the city.

This isn’t the first time the 28-year-old has had a civic honor. He represented his hometown when he served as the 63rd Grand Marshal of the Compton Christmas Parade last year, and then the California State Senate gave him a Generational Icon Award in May of 2015.
Congratulations Kendrick, we can’t wait to see you receive a key to the 562.
