The murder of the Notorious B.I.G. still remains a cold case after 19 years. Christopher Wallace was shot multiple times in Los Angeles in 1997 after what was believed to be a war between the West Coast VS East Coast community.
Singer and Biggie’s wife at the time of his death, Faith Evans is hoping LAPD reopens the case and finds the one responsible for her deceased husband. Evans was also the first female artist to be signed to Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment company back in 1994.
In an interview with HuffPost Live, Evans said she believed police already know who committed the crime.
“We know he was murdered, but we believe that the LAPD knows who’s responsible. That’s what we believe.”
Evans and Biggie had one son, Christopher Wallace Jr., who is now 19 years old. Biggie also has a 20-year old daughter named T’yanna Wallace from a previous girlfriend. Evans touched on the impact Biggie has made on his children’s life even if he isn’t here to witness it.
“He, obviously not knowing, he definitely built something for them.”
Whether or not the case will be reopened is still not confirmed. No suspects have been named for Biggie’s death to date.
